From a bottle into a pokal-type glass.
A-A dense, two-finger, white head hangs around for a bit before dropping to a thick cap. The head leaves a bit of lace on the glass. The brew is golden and lightly cloudy. There are a few bubbles floating around.
S-The smell is on the sweeter, more medicinal side of the BPA spectrum (versus sharp and dry). The hops are medium-bitter, but nondescript in flavor. There is a lightly nutty wheat smell, too.
T-The taste follows the smell with a medium, persistent bitterness that never really distinguishes itself into any unique, identifiable flavors. A grainy, cereal-wheat flavor is also a consistently boring.
M-The feel is softer for the style, with a fine carbonation and a lighter body.
O-I asked the bar tender in Maastricht for his favorite local beer and he said that he had to keep that for himself, but he gave me this brew instead. It is a good looking beer and the bitterness is on the high side for a European brew but I wasn't totally thrilled with the taste, and I have certainly had better BPAs than this.

Shop: Limburgs speciality shop downstairs in the Mosae Forum in Maastricht, The Netherlands
Glass: Duvel Tulip
Name on Label: Zonnestraal
Image on Label: Landscape wist barley field and trees in the background
ABV: 6.5%
Expiry date: 01FEB14
LOT: n/a
Pours a huge medium sized bubbled only slightly beige head. It reduces a surface cover after some time and lacing is there. The body is translucent orange with medium coarse carbonation visible.
Smells of sweet fruits, some yeast, grains, alcohol.
Taste is bitter-sweet both not overpowering, slightly metallic.
Feel is a little carbonation and not much more.
It is a very drinkable blonde that could be a little more refreshing and complex in my opinion.

A - A brown-yellow hazy fluid with a white head that slowly retracts. I must say its like looking at a sun-ray.
S - Fresh and fruity mixed with yeast and pine like tones.
T - Fresh again, malty, citrus, light sweet and a bitter finish.
M - Reasonable full body and a just right bitterness, considering the style it's quite good.
O - Good beer thats easy to drink, the hop presence could be more according to my liking. Overall; it doesn't blow me away.

Unfiltered pale ale, 33 cl. bottle. Translates as 'Sunbeam'. De 7de Hemel has a lot of these weather related names.
Looks orange golden, with a decent head, good lacing, a lot of floaty bits in the beer.
Smell very fresh of floral, grassy, citric hops.
Taste is very much of the bitterness of the mentioned hops. It's fresh and clean, with a nice mild aftertaste of bittersweetness.
Full flavoured indeed.
Mouthfeel is smooth, with a slight spicy bite.
Overall a great beer.
