L- Dark amber, clear, pours with 1Cm white head, holds well and forms lacing.
S- Quite mild, fresh and hoppy.
T- Bright hops, then some brief richness and back into a hoppy zing at the finish.
F- Each sip alternates between refreshing at first then a meaty enough feeling to be rewarding.
O- Interesting beer, particularly that they've able to brew something like this based off 'just 4.0%'. a decent candidate for those wishing to be on the 'lighter side' of things, though perhaps not offering quite enough for me to seek it out in the shops again.
Bought from Wyschwood for home delivery. 500ml bottle BB: 30/09/2020.
p.s. The style of this beer is listed as 'Winter warmer', that's incorrect and perhaps results from the name of the beer and lable featuring - presumably - Brewdolph the brewer-reindeer? Click on 'Winter Warmer' in the description above and you'll see this beer is far away from being one. Perhaps a Golden Ale is closer, I'm not sure.
...Ok so after posting this I saw the review from EmperorBevis and now understand. I have previously tried to get the style of Golden Ale added, as it's absense has seen other such beers here randomly mis-styled. ...Not sure why it's not included as a valid category...

500ml bottle from B&M (£1.49):
Light amber & clear but it wasn't the best looking despite the frothy white head on top. It was very much a bitter nose with some faintly sweet smells towards the middle & a hint of caramel starting to come through as well. The beer was slightly fresh with some fruits but overall it was quite basic on the nose. The taste was much the same with a lot of bitters & some biscuit malts as well as a touch of alcohol that was surprising for a 4% offering & not particularly pleasant; a theme that summed up this beer as I struggled to finish it & didn't really enjoy it at all.

A 500ml bottle with a BB of Sept 2018. Acquired a little while back from Morrisons. The label calls it a golden xmas beer with a zesty nose and aromas of pine and dried fruit.
A: Poured into a tulip pint glass. A deep amber colour with faint floating sediment and intense carbonation. Produces a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a while before slowly reducing to a patchy surface layer. Some lacing.
S: Aroma of mild caramel malt with hints of ale yeast, subtle leafiness and faint grain. Technically fine but decidedly bland.
T: Tastes of bitter stewed hops with notes of leafiness, ale yeast, mild caramel malt and a touch of grain. Quite dry, followed by a robust herbal bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly with prickly carbonation and an insubstantial body. Slightly astringent; would benefit from being a tad creamier. Aftertaste of bitter stewed hops, leafiness, ale yeast and faint malt.
O: OK if surprisingly bland (even for Wychwood). Looks good but it's all downhill from there. The aroma is very subdued and the flavour quite bitter with low malt presence. Body is a tad thin and fizzy. Unimpressive - the bitterness in particular seems poorly judged and needs more malt to balance it out. Makes me wonder if there was an ingredient error during the brewing process. Drinkable but dull and not very seasonal. Give it a miss.

Bottled, I've listed it as a winter warmer because it's clearly brewed for Christmas and there is no Engish Blonde or Golden ales
Pours a yella body with very little white head
pewter aroma
corn taste
thin body
Lagerboy would love this
