On-tap 12/8/10 at British Beer Company in Walpole, MA, served in a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a coppery brown color, with a short off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma is faint but contains caramelized malts, honey and a little bit of hops.
T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of caramel, honey and a touch of citrus. Then a mild but complementary hops presence comes in. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and brings a little bit of balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet.
M: Crisp and smooth but a bit watery, light-to-medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
D: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, very mild kick, good representation of style, this is a decent milder beer worth drinking for a long time.
