Pale, watery copper color with uneven frothy cream head. Thick lacing. Smells light malts with a muscat grape sweetness.
In the mouth, high carbonation tastes center stage yet seems to be hollow in its seltzer-like softness and transience. Mild malts and hops in the mouth; little aftertaste or hop impact. Served very cold. Light witbeer coriander and citrus flavors seemed to develop as it warmed. Also something of a roasted pepper like grain taste detected at times.
More interesting than the other Independence beers I had but seemed to share with them the wateryness and lack of depth.
