I had this a few weeks back ande never reviewed this it took someone to to review it for me to remember it was pretty easy to forget.Pours a deep brown with light bumpy head that leaves some light lacing, aroma is the best thing about it nice roasted sweet aroma with caramel notes.Taste is a little watery in my mind with some light sweetness but not much else.Pretty bland and uninspiring wont seek this place out again I dont think.

Tough seeing the color in the dark brewpub, but the porter look very dark brown, almost black in color with a thin caramel colored head. The aroma was average, sporting some roasted maltiness with some slight hints of coffee and caramel. The first taste was pleasant, noticing a decent balance of malt with some chocolate and coffee tones that lingered on the tongue. The mouthfeel was good, even though the flavor needed to be kicked up a notch. A very drinkable porter, and one of the better Independence offerings.

Nice amber/copper head. The body was medium and dark black in color. I thought this brew was excellent! Robust flavor, w/ the roasted malts & hints of caramel. This brew was excellent! Enjoy!
