This beer came a light amber with a little cherry and pumpkin to it. The head started a tall and frothy dirty white but fell to a substantial film. This left a little lace that kept sliding down my glass.
Smells of sweet wheat and dinner rolls, honey and a dry medicinal cherry sourness.
Tastes of crisp pine boughs and grapefruit with the standard IBP this is the only malt we ever use base consisting of (salt-less) saltines, dry marshmallows and a general ashy sourness. The malt and the hops seemed to fight with instead of augment one another.
The mouth feel was medium bodied and silky with an easy, unobtrusive carbonation.
Seriously, I could pick an IBP brew out of a line up any day. The repetitive (pronounced consistent, right?) nature of an over reliance on pale malts is a bit disheartening, but it wont keep me from loving the convenient location.
