473ml can, much more reminiscent of Mike's Hard Lemonade and its ilk...oops - there are indeed depictions of hops and barley, so, my bad...

This beer pours a hazy medium apple juice yellow colour, with two fingers of foamy off-white head, which leaves some loose webbed lace around the glass in its wake. Its smells of stale grainy corn, a slight processed honey essence, and some sour skunk. The taste is plain Jane grain - corn and something resembling barley, a sweetness only from honey as suggested to me by the name, and a dry, kind of metallic booziness. The carbonation is moderate, the body light, and a bit airy. It finishes with a growing sourness, whether from grain or hop or booze, I care not to further investigate.

The 'Pure Adirondack' honey adds nothing to this weak effort. The extra booze so treasured in the pursuit of ice-ness, is restrained, but slips through the veil here and there. All this, coupled with the grammar and spelling errors on the label, and we have a strong candidate for history's rightfully forgotten bin.

Had this one at a work tasting- Pours a very pale gold with a fizzy and short live white foam. Corn and other grains in the aroma to start, some honey or sugars, a touch of wet paper. Flavour profile is a touch of sweetness with some hops coming through, but it also has a grainy adjuncty flavour as well. Finishes surprisingly bitter and fairly clean. Sweetish aftertaste. Bland overall. Funny that there is a spelling mistake on the can...the word matured is spelled "matureed". I guess it's a collectors item.

Ho-hum lager. Clear gold with a fast rising and fast settling head. Crystal clear.

Light honey character in the scent, but otherwise nothing to get excited about.

Taste is rather disappointing. Faint hints of honey and malt, hops are a bit too much and this is overly bitter. The honey does not help bring up the sweetness.

Fine as a lawn-mower beer, but rather generic and boring.

A fairly average beer. Poured a bit flat and lost it's head soon thereafter. It actually has a nice clean appearance and mouthfeel, but the taste is so pedestrian that there is nothing to entice the consumer back. I'm curious to true the Yankee Jim Bock next and see if that isn't more interesting. I guess the first sign that this was going to be less than brilliant was that it came in a can.

I tried this beer on February 21, 2008 after purchasing from my local LCBO outlet. The beer pours a translucent gold colour with a generous white fluffy head that disappears quickly, and is highly effervescent. The aroma is very grainy with some faint honey hints. The mouthfeel is thin, carbonated, and watery. The taste is somewhat watery as well with some hints of grass and honey, but nothing strong.

For some reason the design on the can could be more easily mistaken for a cider or malternative than a beer. Consumer conditioning I suppose....

Has the appearance of sparkling apple juice, and the most violent appearing head I've ever seen, white and spongy, but it looks jagged and caustic as it slowly dissipates.

Aroma is faint, with a fruit-like sweetness (the honey I would assume), flowery but with an underlying sourness.

The flavour is akin to malt liquor, some high test, but without the alcohol kick. Sour grains all the way, with a haunting cider-like character.

Mouthfeel is average, it has body and some depth from the carbonation, slightly above the standard of the typical macro.

Yet the mouthfeel seems to be the most memorable and redeeming character of this honey ice lager. Um, I'll pass on this next time around....

Useless bit of grammer trivia, they made a mistake on the French/English label of this beer: 'Beer.Premium.Biere' is backwards in both languages.

Anyways, the beer pours a clear straw gold color with a short lived head that leaves a smattering of lace trails behind. The smell is lightly malty with a bit of honey perceptable. Hops are noticeable, a little herbal and leafy. The taste is straightforward and sweet. Some doughy malt mixes with a wee bit of processed honey and a light bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium and briskly carbonated.

One of the better value honey lagers. You can actually taste some honey. Its sort of annoying how it uses the whole 'ice brewed' gimmick thing.

A - Clear straw with a pure white head. bit loose

S - Grassy hops, wet cardboard maybe a touch of honey

T - Not too bad... pretty light in flavour, but with quite a bitter finish. Aftertaste doesn't really linger though. Comes across as a touch sweet, malt-liquory feel. Slight chemical flavour.

M - Fizzy and yellow mouthfeel.

D - Not bad. Solidly average macro.

Pours a clear urine amber/yellow, medium white head forms, quickly settles down to a thin layer, then is gone altogether, no lacing. Smell is very sweet, grass and honey, corn, cheap, citrus and grains, but the really sharp sweetness is overpowering. Taste is better, nice honey sweetness at first, dry biscuity middle with grass, and light spice, oats and corn in the finish. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation. Somewhat smooth, cheap and easy to drink.

Gold-yellow color..small rocky cap does not last long..weak lacing

Aroma is sweet ( but a natural sweetness) and light grains..very faint

Tastes like an all malt or partial malt beer with a light sweetness to it...clean smooth but lacks the freshness or natural character I look for in a lager....I may buy this is it were not $1.85 a can...if a buck yeah this would be a deal.
