This is more of a brown ale than a dopplebock. A great tasting beer with a hint of sweetness and an aftertaste flavor I cannot pinpoint. (licorice maybe?). For an afterdinner beer this one gets my pick if available. I have had it with Pizza and loved it as well. Lightly carbonated with a small head that seemed to stay and lace the glass. A brilliant combination of grains and mystery flavors. Thanks BHB!
