This is a well made pilsner. With its golden straw color, it made a great first impression. Decent amount of foam and lacing. The taste is somewhere between a northern German Pils and a Czech pale lager / Pilsner. Elegant, but with a balanced bitter sweet hop note.
Worthy.

Hazy, near bright gold color. Modest head that settles quickly to rim bubbles. No lasting lace.
A bit skunky, perhaps from being fluorescent lights too long. Missing the subtle soft malt and floral hop bouquet.
The taste is harsh, partly from skunking and partly from the straight up bittering hop. Missing most of the Pilsner qualities. Bitter finish resulting in a long aftertaste.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a light to medium golden amber with a two finger white head that dissipates fairly quickly to a thick film with nice lacing. Aroma of pilsner malt, grassy, somewhat skunky hops, light grain. Flavor is grainy, lightly husky, pilsner malt, grassy hops, a touch of lemon. Medium bodied with sharp carbonation and light creaminess. A good pilsner profile in malt and hops, but an unexpected light skunkiness despite its sensible brown bottle. Finishing flavor is a little starkly hoppy with a drop-off of the malt flavor. Satisfactory, but nothing special.
