12oz bottle
Pours a finger of off-white head. Retention is average. Lacing is decent. Body is a deep copper-brown. Looks good enough.
Nose has a lovely foundation of clean, robust malts, notably toffee. Fruit esters of raspberry and cherry underneath. Smells great.
Flavor is similar, starting out with brief malt and quickly transitioning into a sharp cherry finish that leaves a momentary lingering tartness. This is well done.
Carbonation is modest. Body is very light, drinks like a lager. Well-attenuated, clean, with a small dryness in the finish. Bitterness is low but there might be some acidity from the fruity yeast, there is a little bit of a bite. Overall a solid, complex mouthfeel.
Drinkability is very good.
Overall a great beer. The flavor does get light at times, it could use a touch more malt to support those esters, but overall really nice.
