This pours a clear dark golden colour with a fluffy white head that hangs around.
Some light pleasant grassy hops on the nose and a little bit of grain.
Similar on the palate. Light grassy hops, light hop profile. Some tropical fruit notes coming through.
Light bodied.
Cracking, easy drinking golden ale.

This sadly, was my official last beer in New Zealand. It is made with 100% Canterbury malted barley and 100% Nelson bred hops. A genuine Kiwi brew and a perfect match for summer. Batch # 1159 best before 10/16/10 (love those dates!) Serve at 7-10 degrees C.
It had a great logo, great little details but they forgot one thing: not to bottle their product in a freaking green bottle! I opened it and sure enough: it smelled skunked!
It poured a clear marigold yellow with a 1/2" thick head. It smelled skunked with some light sweetness, candied malts and pine. It tasted very refreshing, light grass, pine, light hoppy bitterness comes out at the end balanced with a tangy citrus. You get a light pucker aftertaste. You don't get too much malt flavor in taste, I get more malt just on the nose. Overall, it seems light- more pilsnery than an ale but it sort of goes with the whole kiwi thing. But there is more flavor in there than your run of the mill pilsner.

a) Dark straw, 1" white fluffy head that persists. Looks appealing & refreshing.
s) Grassy at first, then strong tropical fruit like pawpaw, some grain, some hint of peanut.
f) A malty sauvignon blanc. Passionfruit flesh & seed, with a decent bitterness.
m) Smooth, with a clean finish.
d) Very drinkable. Refreshing, clean & crisp. Easy drinking.

A - Poured into a pint glass a pretty clear light straw colour. 2cm of white head that falls away fairly quickly.
S - Light floral & grassy hop aromas followed by a sweet grainy note with a vauge honey hint.
T - Also floral but with a bit of a tropical fruit taste coming through as well. Pale malt honeyish sweetness.
M - Somewhere between light to medium bodied, fairly high carbonation. Quite refreshing.
D - If I had access to this one a regular basis I'd probably drink it fairly often. Not all that exciting but a nice enough basic sessionable pale ale.
