Tirana 5/10 2024. 50 cl can from Supermarket Cangolli, Rruga Reshit Petrela, Tirana. Simple white can with the name of the beer in red. A true Stella Artois wannabe.
Pours clear yellow with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles As 0,2 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a light salty streak. Sweet pale malts, cardboard and white bread. Glue and sea salt.
Light carbonation. Thin, watery, Soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet. Lingers for a bit. Finish is flat and sweet.
Generic and too sweet.

330ml bottle from Spar, Tirana (80 lek):
Clear golden to straw coloured with a 1cm, bubbly head that's bone white but holds okay initially. The nose is basic & rough, quite skunky at the start with lots of grain, cheap earthy notes & corn without the usual sweetness to balance it out a little. It's quite a fizzy beer, bordering on gassy with a basic taste to match the nose; corn, cheap adjuncts & grain dominate with hay & pale, earthy malts but it's a shocker in truth & not really enjoyable at all.

Bottle shared by Travlr. Thanks Gene!
Pale yellow body with a small white head. Aromas of cereal grains, adjunct lager. Simple and light. Hooray Albania.
