Tirana 4/10 2024. 50 cl bottle at local restaurant. With a white and green label with a Drawing of a old town with a Church. Looks like it’s trying to appeal to middleaged Germans from rural Germany.

Pours clear yellow with a mid-sized white head. Settles as paperthin layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.

Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with with grassy bitter notes.Sweet pale malts, cardboard and a bit of lemon. Grass.

Strong carbonation. Thin, watery, lively and tingling texture

Flavor is medium intense with a light sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and a bit salty. Lingers for a bit. Finish is dry.

Decent and not too sweet.

500ml can from Spar, Tirana (75 lek):
Clear, light amber with a 1cm, bone white head that's foamy & disappears quite quickly. The nose is very cheap & skunky, lots of basic adjuncts like corn & cereal, it's grainy & seems stronger than 4.5% here. Cereal, a corn sweetness, lots of cheap adjuncts & fizz dominate the taste, it's unbalanced & a little gassy, the body is thin & its generally a terrible beer. The finish is quite effervescent & semi-bitter but it's definitely one to avoid.
