Nearly didn't review this as it wasn't right: hand-pulled half-pint in the town centre (Telford) Wetherspoons on 16th Oct 2013.
Poured a dull almost murky brown colour with a good solid head of off-white bubbles, certainly not ruby red or clear: the alarm bells began to ring. Anyway back at my table it sat and stared back at me while I decided what to do.
The aroma made me try it: I like malts, so the semi-rich smell of malty molasses ensured I had a sip. It was on the turn, but I couldn't be arsed to take it back. I'm sure it's a lovely malty, tasty brew normally and have scored it accordingly, not on my little experience.
If I ever come across it again, I'll re-write this piece.
