Draught at Factoria Plaza Vieja, Havana (2 CUC):
Not a bad beer overall & definitely one of the best Cuban brewed pale lagers I stumbled across while in the country but that's not saying a whole lot in truth. The beer was sweeter than expected with the odd touch of vanilla at times but was lighter on the nose than I'd have liked. It was flavoursome & easy to drink, with enough going on to keep you interested but it's still not likely to be one I'd go back to outside of Cuba really.

From notes. Spanish isn't my forte, so I'm going by what it tastes like.
This is the basic light beer here, probably meant to appeal to the majority of light-beer-drinking tourists. Looks very hazy and the head is quite weak. Fades quickly to a thin foam cover. Aromas and taste are mostly light grainy malt with a lemony touch. A little bit of tartness up front, and a one-dimensional bitterness in the finish. Light bodied a bit too fizzy, but overall an easy-drinking bland sort of beer. Can't complain after a morning of sight seeing though - damn it's hot in Cuba...
