On draught at McGlinn's in Wenatchee, WA, on of their house brews. Served in a shaker glass, Saddle Rock is a clear copper with a very small sand colored head.

Smell is slight caramel and buttery diacetyl.

Taste is very estery for a lager, fruity and clean sweet maltiness, with a minty hop finish.

Mouthfeel is crisper, with a medium light body.

Drinkability is pretty good, Saddle Rock is very smooth and went down easily, although if I wasn't told it was a larger, I would have sworn it was an amber ale.

Saddle Rock is brewed especially for McGlinn's Public House in Wenatchee.

Served in a pint glass.

Pours a Coke brown color and is clear. It is a dark color and nearly opaque.. Served full to the rim with absolutely no head.

The smell is floral and perfume like. Perhaps a little honeysuckle of lilac fragrance.

The taste is sweet and sharp. It is "lager-like" in every way. There is a little caramel flavor, which also makes the beer reminiscent of a cola soft drink.

Mouthfeel is smooth and fairly full-bodied.

This is a very drinkable beer and very sessionable. If you visit McGlinn's and like a good red lager, this is one to have.
