Doppio Malto Brew Restaurant "Brass Weiss"
€6 / 40cl glass on tap at the brewery on 27 June 2018
Notes: Listed at 5% ABV with 9 IBUs. Very hazy brass color beneath a bright white head. The aroma is phenolic-clove-wheat. The flavor is similar to Weihenstephaner and I wouldn't be surprised if they were using their yeast strain. Although I didn't find it in the nose, banana is present, as are some apple and pear. The malt is wheaty and sweetish. It's medium-light in body and gently effervescent. Overall it's a fairly standard German style hefeweizen with the usual appearance, although the head retention could be better. The aroma is slightly limited, and the flavor isn't quite as full as it could be but you certainly won't mistake it. Overall it's a pretty good attempt.

Hazy orange, carbonated, creamy white head.
In the smell cloves, wheat, yeast. Ok.
Very clean taste, again phenolic, a very little banana, amost null.
Yeast, the ight amount, typical wheat note, good balance.

Tried a bomber of this beer at a bar in Bellagio, Italy. Pours with a huge head. Some cloves in the smell. Bright yellow color. Hazy body. Taste was definitely of bananas, with some pear notes also. Very easy beer to drink on warm evening. Another winner from this brewery that I am glad that I came across in Italy.
