From the tap, pours pale yellow and clear with negligible head. Smells of lemon and the sea. Tastes incredibly tart, mostly citrus and a hint of grass with a salty presence throughout. Extremely light and refreshing with a dry, lemony finish.

Sampled this on tap amongst a bunch of other sours. This one is decidedly not very sour. It is quite dry, like a very dry Italian pinot grigo, with a slight green apple and grape-like zing on the finish and a bit of lemon zest. The pink sea salt is, aside from being a rather pretentiously-specific ingredient, almost nonexistent except at the very back end, and pretty faintly at that. An interesting beer that is probably best enjoyed with a meal like white wine usually is -light pasta or chicken would work.

750ml bottle with no freshness date served in a wine glass

Appearance: Pours a dark yellow color with 1 finger of a white head that settles to a thick ring. Body is hazy but translucent.

Smell: Decent amount of funk, hay, lemon, briney, slight lactic character along with oak and red grape. Smells interesting.

Taste: An interesting mix of sweet, sour and salty on the tongue with neither element overwhelming the other. Beyond that, the barrel character begins to shine through with notes of oak, wine grape, tart apple and lactic acid. There's a touch of funk as well, but not as obvious as in the nose.

Mouthfeel: Light and crisp with medium, thin, but aggressive carbonation. Finishes tart and dry with a mild lingering saltiness.

Overall: Strange, but really good. The salty character is weird, but somehow it works. Definitely worth picking up a bottle to try.
