Lots of age (and dust) on this bottle, so a careful pour yielded no head whatsoever. Color is an opaque dark brown. Nose is very lactic but rounded with a touch of oak as well. Taste is surprisingly subdued - very light tartness, but nothing at all bracing or puckering. Wood has sapped out of this, and there is almost no carbonation. I think as a lighter drinking beer with some crisp carbonation this would work, but drinking it essentially flat makes it pretty one-note and a little boring. Bit of oxidation as well, but far less than expected given the age on the bottle.

2022 vintage; drank 11/10/22 @ the Hopleaf.
Mostly opaque brown / purple appearance.
Small tan head; almost no lace.
Oak, raw mushroom, barbecue sauce, cherry & soy sauce notes in the nose. Wow, that's a lot!
Medium mouthfeel.
Sour cherry, oak & raw mushroom flavors; a punishingly sour finish.
An undrinkable mess to this palate.

This is a very flavorful beer. Classic Oud bruin smell and taste. Earthy, funky, with tart apple, cherries, berries, and rich red wine flavors. This is a beer you want to let warm because richer flavors come out as it warms.
Poured from a bottle into a tulip glass. Deep reddish brown color with almost no head or lacing. This went very well with grilled salmon and asparagus. I think this would be an excellent beer for food.

Lotto: L2015
Pours maroon red with a receding light khaki colored foam head. Incredibly layered and complex lambic-esque notes, wildflowers, barnyardy earthy funk, oaky spice, hay, slight vinegar, wine barrel, straw, fresh herbs, vanilla, caramel, dark toffee, molasses, toasted malts, some chocolate, garden strawberry, tart red fruits, acetic red wine, peppercorn, with dusty floral earthy herbal grassy hops. Feels medium bodied, smooth with moderate carbonation. Overall a really nice oud bruin.

Lots of tan foam, chestnut brown body with racing carbonation, lots of drippy lacing.
Acidic and vinous aroma, kind of sharp. Could use more nuance.
Taste is pretty sour, it has some wine barrel character but is very acidic and dry.
Medium bodied, sharply acidic and highly carbonated.
Feels more like a "dark sour ale" akin to Boulevard Love Child.

Birrificio Del Ducato / Oxbow "Oud Brunello"
11.2 fl. oz. brown glass bottle, coded "L2015"
$10.01 @ Roger Wilco, Pennsauken, NJ
Notes via stream of consciousness: The cap opened with little hiss, indication that it would have little carbonation and that's turned out to be the case. Fortunately, due to the tartness that it has you don't really need that much carbonation. Also, having carefully poured it to avoid getting any of the lees into the glass, no head was even brought up. What is there is simply some brownish bubbles alongtheu side of the glass. The aroma is intense, displaying tart dark fruit (dried plums, figs, and black raisins, black currant, and some cherry), red wine, oak, and a hint of leather. The flavor follows, adding in some medium-dark caramel and brown sugar, and it's much more intense than the aroma. Sometimes you get more oak, sometimes you get more wine, sometimes a note of a specific fruit - but you always get the tartness! In the mouth it's light-medium in body and smooth with just a hint of carbonation on the tongue. I wasn't expecting much from this but it's really beautifully refined. I wonder what it was like fresh. No way to tell.

On tap at Beavertown Extravaganza. Aroma has cellar funk, dusty barrel and some acetic notes. Taste is tart, woody with barrel bitterness, grapes and earthy notes.
