A- Alright, this one pours a light golden color with a semi hazed appearance....likely from being chilled. The head is very very modest, really not becoming anything upon the pour and quickly settling into a white colored ring around the top of the liquid and the lacing is rather modest at best....several small foam spheres cling to the side of the glass....not a great look but I've seen worse.

S- Immediate aromas of honey, apricot, peach and caramel malt, alongside bready/biscuit like yeast, perhaps some slight citrus flesh and I feel that previous reviewers should wash their fingers thoroughly before smelling....there is no Italian pizza spice on this.......

T- Kind of mild on the palate overall and not in a real good way! There are plenty of citrus notes, over malted barley....it seems as though there is adjunct in this, like corn and/or rice....the finish has a slightly astringent finish. Perhaps the better way to explain this one in terms of exotic flavor is sushi?! Wasabi was absent, as was the horseradish.....

M/O- Light-medium body and the carbonation is rather smooth....best part of this beer. While I find the drinkability factor high, this brewery will eventually get to spicy pizza (sorry but the previous reviews got me going ;) This isn't a very good ale and I will pass in the future.......Viva Italia!!

This was a weird one. It looked horrible in the glass. Murky brown.
Really foamy on the pour, but nothing left over once you started drinking it.
The aroma was one of sweetness and a bit of yeast.
The taste was decent, however. I couldn't taste wasabi, but it was definitely "warm". The malt flavor came through.
Not good enough to recommend, but not completely unworthy either.

330ml bottle, day 18 of the 2016 Craft BeerAdvent calendar - made with spices - wait, what? Wasabi? Oh boy.

This beer pours a glassy, medium golden amber colour, with two fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and bubbly off-white head, which leaves some boiling cauldron lace around the glass as things slowly sink away.

It smells of musty green chilies, black pepper dust, gritty and grainy pale malt, black olives, an earthy yeastiness, and further leafy, herbal, and slightly perfumed floral hop bitters. The taste is bready and crackery pale malt, a bit of free-agent simple syrup, still understated and stale-seeming green hot peppers (this is not the horseradish you are looking for), ephemeral yeasty notes, and more plain earthy, herbal, and dead floral hoppiness. The 14-proof boozy-booze is well hidden, for the time being.

The carbonation is adequate in its structurally sound frothiness, the body a so-so middleweight, and not particularly smooth, but not swinging too far in the other direction either (ow, this fence is chafing my ass!). It finishes trending dry, the pepper character slowly evolving a set of insidious brass balls.

Overall, I can see that there is a decent spicy character in this brew, it just takes some time to come out (temperature dependent?). In the end, I found this to be a nice and balanced chili beer, yet sadly (yeah, right) bereft of that actual sushi joint green Play-Doh crap. And, as such, perhaps a tad overbearing in its name, doncha think?

Day 18 of the 2016 Craft BeerAdvent calendar. Poured into a pint glass

A lively Pale golden haze with a short head that olives many larger heads I’ve seen and has lace that lasts.

Floral fruit bowel of hops that is very inviting.

Sweet beady dough and light on the spice however points on a somewhat unique flavour just to light on what the style would dictate.

THIn feeling with not too much going on here and less effect from the carbonation than expected

Say Italian and was not expecting much and indeed not up to a strong beer as it should be but taking it next to other Italian beers it does stand out, a little.
