Pours a translucent copper and thick tan head, which actually layered in a white and tan. Get a floral hops with a tropical citrus aroma on the nose. Bit of a grainy, hoppy bitterness that sticks around. The mouthfeel is thick and effervescent.

It has a hazy orange color, with a foam not so elegant, with big bubbles.
In the smell a quite strong maltiness, not too fresh, then a better hoppy bitterness.
Quite malty taste, followed by a pleasant hop.
Quite bitter aftertaste too.
Not a bad beer.

This is Beer 12 from the Rieder Advent Calendar. Another average offering unfortunately. I've been a pretty big fan of the other Ducato stuff I've tried, so I had high hopes. Anyways, it poured a hazy straw colour with a thick head of tiny bubbles that lasted through to the final sip. It wasn't until I smelled it that I even realized it was a Belgian style, as the sweet ester aroma was present, and I swear I could smell cotton candy. Pretty neat. The flavour was very mellow, nice honey and candy sugar notes, nothing over the top. Nice sweetness without being syrupy. It's average but not offensive.

330ml bottle, day 12 (12/12/12!) of the 2012 Craft Beer Advent calendar. Weird monster breaking wave imagery on the label.
This beer pours a quite hazy medium golden straw colour, with a rising tower of billowy, thinly foamy white head, which leaves some fuzzy, grotesquely webbed lace around the glass as it slowly comes back to earth. Perhaps that's where the surging wave visuals come from.
It smells of sharp grainy pale malt, tart citrus peel, a bit of spruce pine tips, and further softly herbal, floral hops. The taste is gritty, grainy, and slightly crackery malt - not very sweet at all - some thin nutty notes, dry citrus rind, some equally sere tropical fruit, and leafy, somewhat dusty hops.
The carbonation is pretty laid-back, the body medium-light in weight, and generally smooth, in a no-frills sort of way. It finishes rather dry, the graininess making little in the way of sweet overtures, and the hops taking this as a license to, um, sit-in, I suppose.
An actually enjoyable golden ale - I'm usually presented with bland, pithy malt duds, but here, here we have a balanced, almost skewed but not quite, hop counterpoint. Good stuff, I could drink this for at least a few more rounds, if that were the exercise here.

A: Clear, very light yellow with a nice frothy head. Good retention, awesome lace.
S: Lemon rind & candied pineapple.
T: Marmalade, dried mango, modest bitterness.
M: Well-attenuated, light to moderate body has a crisp finish.
O: A great session ale with a bit of hop flavour
