On tap in Roma at Ma Che Siete Venuti a Fa...one of many beers I enjoyed there while on vacation this past week.
Pours; translucent deep dark red when held up to the light; fluffy white head on top.
Nose; caramel, roasted malt, chocolate malt, resinous hops.
Taste; pretty straightforward black ipa; didnt have the rich body and citrusy notes that I look for. Was very well balanced though and increadibly drinkable.
Moutheefl; this is where the beer stood out, it had a creaminess but light body as well, making it refreshing and drinkable in the summer heat.
Basically a silky smooth porter with a light hoppiness to it. Wasn't bad at all, but nothing special.
