A-Cloudy golden yellow with an odd greenish tint, could that be from hops?! A thin wisp of an off-white ring. Like hop tea.
S-Humungous pine and citrus hop blast. The aroma of fresh hops is ridiculous, almost overpowering, even to a hop head like myslef!
T-Citrus, pine and a bit of grassy notes...hey, it's all Centennial hops what else would you expect? Malt is a secondary thought although there is enough to keep things sort of balanced out.
M-Amazingly smooth, thank you cask delivery, but a bit on the thin side. Again back to the reference of being like hop tea.
D-Nice, interesting and certainly made for the hop lover. A bit to one dimensioanl though for me to session. Glad to have tried it though.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear orange-amber with a creamy off-white head. Strong citrus and pine hop aroma. Really nice centennial hop flavor, not too bitter. Good solid caramel sweet malt base. Medium-light body. A nice and very drinkable beer. Really like the the hop flavor, while not being too bitter or out of balance. Kind of in-between a west coast IPA and pale ale, with is often my preferred strength, drinkability wise, though still not quite in the literal session realm.

Had on tap at the Hollister Brewig Co. Poured a light gold with a small white head. Smell was a very vague hops, very light IPA and that is what he must have been going for. Taste was floral and citrus but very subtle, small hop profile but smooth. Average IPA

Found this on cask and served in a pint glass at O'Brien's Pub in San Diego. I e-mailed the brewmaster for information since the name was elusive in the pub. Here is the brewmaster's reply: "The beer is part of a series of IPA's that i am brewing during the coming months in an effort to brew a slightly less hop laden IPA than our standard, The Pope. Instead of naming everyone something different, as i plan to brew at least a dozen different variations, I have decided to generically call them Beer With Hops. They will all be pale golden IPA's that are around 6.5% abv but feature different hop profiles and varieties. This is the second one we have brewed and it was brewed exclusively with Centenial hops in both pellet and whole flower form."
Here's what I thought:
A: Cloudy, with a golden/greenish color. Very little head was present - as expected with real ale.
S: Pine and citrus hop aroma. The smell is reminiscent of Pliny the Elder, kind of a marijuana smell also, like Green Flash Imperial IPA.
T: Very hoppy with bitterness lingering. Grassy with little malt body or character. This is Centennial hops, huh.
M: Silky smooth, but thinnish. I would like a little more malt body. A very nice level of carbonation from the cask conditioning though.
D: One is good for me.
