On-tap at Hollister Brewing
The pour is a cloudy pale yellow color with a finger of white head. Has some good banana aromas to it as well as lots of wheat and bready malt. A little citrus peel and some yeast with mild spice notes. The banana and spice flavors are noticeable up front, but not quite dominant like on a traditional hefeweizen. Some orange peel and a sweet bready flavor is also there. Maybe a hint of straw, too.

Poured a cloudy deep yellowish with a small white head.Nose is banana, light clove and wheat. taste is more banana and wheat with clove as a back seat driver. Mouthfeel is crisp, refreshing and good. ABV is nice and low making this a brew you can drink alot of. Nice beer.

Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy gold-amber with a smallish white head. The aroma is yeasty with some clove spice and a little banana bread. The flavor is tart and spicy with a nice malt sweetness that remains a little restrained. Medium-light bodied. Not as much banana as german examples that I've had, but a nice spice. Refreshing.

Consumed 05/25/08.
Cloudy, medium yellow beer with a thin foam skin. Nominal lacing. Lots of active bubbles.
Grassy, clean aroma.
Wheat tang on palate. Some banana. Refreshing, simple and easily quaffable. Better than any American wheat ale I've had, but no challenge to a beer like Schneider Weiss.
And thanks, bartender, for holding the lemon without my even asking.
