A follow-up to my Shaky Hands review (imperial porter with Intelligentsia coffee). This seems to basically be the imperial stout version of Shaky Hands.
Basically, the abv is upped a bit and there seems to be more of a roasted character in Angry Sun vs Shaky Hands from what I remember.
Angry Sun is a very nicely done beer. The coffee, again, is infused quite well. Tastes like dark chocolate, cacao and chocolate covered coffee beans with a touch of roasted character to finish it off. Well done.
Good mouthfeel all in all, but I wouldn't mind just a touch more heft. That said, this not too thin either - and this lends to a nice drinkability.
Highly recommended.
