On Tap at the Brewpub - First sampled this one at PP Real Ale Fest
Notes from visit – 12/27/11
*served in Nonic glass
Beer With Hops – 5.5% ABV
*Nelson Sauvignon
A: Beer with Hops pours another super clear and light garnished goldenrod color. Adorned with a finger of white creamy head and sticky tracks of lace.
S: Smells just of fresh Nelson Sauvignon hops. That signature white wine and grapefruit combo.
T: Taste is pure Nelsons as well. Blasts of white wine grapes and grapefruit essence. Malt is not even there. Just some light sugars potent with the Nelsons. A full Nelson showcase. Super light and sessionable.
M: Super light in body. Creamy with a resinous mouthcoat and dry crisp finish.
D: You must like the Nelsons to go for this one. A super light and sessionable Pale loaded with Nelson hops.
I can drink this for days but I know that the Nelsons aren’t for everyone.
