Copenhagen 14/10 2017. 50 cl bottle from Meny. Some strange bird wielding coconuts charging what I suppose is some poor Portuguese sailors. Kind of cumbersome way to convey that you added Coconut to your Porter. But it works.
Pours opaque black with small beige head. Settles as thin layer of foam accurately covering the surface of the beer.
Aroma is intense and rich. Dark chocolate, strong bitter licorice, roastiness and hints of vanilla.
Light carbonation and very thick and oily palate.
Flavor lives up to the aroma. Fat and rich. Medium sweet with slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with vanilla - and some Coconut.
Good one.

Aroma is toasted malts/coconut, fruit/dark fruit and mild sweetness. The flavor is fruit/dark fruit, malts, chocolate, and a sweet coconut/warming alcoholic/slightly acidic finish.

With the bigness and treatment of Imperial Stout but with the softness and smoothness of Porter, Amager's barrel-aged coconut Porter gives all lovers of dark beers something that they would love.
Very dark brown and easily mistaken for black, Brown Boobies Falling (hee, hee, hee...) builds a strong honeycomb froth with great staying power. A swirl of the glass brings the aromas of fresh baked brownies, coconut candy, fresh ground coffee and dark chocolate to the nose. Its generous sweetness rewards the palate early and often with chocolate, toffee, caramel and sorghum.
As the dark ale nestles on the middle palate, its sweetness slowly starts to relax and it more robust flavors of French press coffee, bittersweet chocolate, candied nuttiness and general toasted character begins to take the forefront of taste. Trending smooth and spicy, the late palate balances with sweet whisky, vanilla, coconut, oak and the overall broad woodsiness from hops.
Full bodied, warming and trending pleasantly dessert-like, part of the bee's balance comes from the tannins that release a mild amount of wood-derived astringency on the finish. A long linger of spicy sweetness stays robust with those java, cappuccino and simmering whisky flavors.

Bottle bought at Liquor Shed.
Looks pretty black to me though I would fall short in saying pitch black. Head of foam is very short lasting. No lacing.
Roasted malt, slightly sweet and slightly bitter. Almost has a barrel aged aroma because of the alcohol, which actually isn't up there. Coconut...nah. I can't pull any out. No dating on the bottle so it must not be fresh? It's retired..
Flavours resemble the smell with maybe a smidgen of Coconut. Reaffirms what I said aboot the smell. That being said, I quite enjoy this Porter. Imperial at 7.50% abv or whatever.
Mouthfeel..excellent.
I could see myself buying more.

200 ml draft pulled into a tulip glass. Appearance is a standard porter, dark black with a thin brown rim of froth which dissipates quickly, but leaves decent lacing on the glass. Aromas are oddly subdued - there is a boozy aroma like alcohol or bourbon, but no coconuts there at all! Taste is completely different, with sweet, freshly ground coconut dominating the taste, above all other flavours. The sweetness of the coconuts overwhelm whatever bitterness this porter has, lasting well into the finish. Carbonation is soft, but its absence is not missed in this full bodied creamy brew. A delicious brew with outstanding flavour.

From Labirratorium. In Teku glass. Reading JHTP11 Ch36. Best Amager's black ale Ive tasted. Very well balanced and with a great feel for such relatively low abv. Coconut not much noticeable though

Looks really nice, with a dense head that stays around awhile. Roasted malts and hoppy aromas, not unlike a Black IPA, but hard to find the coconut. Taste is similar, but again, not getting much of the coconut - mostly just roasted malts with a bittersweet chocolate, dry ending. As it warmed though, nuanced notes of coconut came through.
