Copenhagen 31/8 2020. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Simon Daugaard drawing of Diabolic looking fella with red eyes on the can. Confusingly they call the style a Session DIPA.
Pours opaque, golden yellow with a medium-sized white head. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a strong sweet odor of fermented exotic fruit and more subtle citric notes. Mango and papaya. Light decay. A bit of alcohol.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, smooth, soft, creamy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with medium strong sweetness followed by stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
I do not know how a DIPA can be a Session beer. I would not be very sessional after drinking a six-pack of these.
