Copenhagen 31/1 2017. 50cl bottle from Føtex, Mimersgade, Kbh. NV. Old rustic picture from Bryggen in Copenhagen on the label.

Pours golden - almost orange - yellow with modest white head. Settles as a patchy island of foam flowing aimlessly around.

Aroma is fruity with some floral notes. Sweet caramel, cardboard and light touch of alcohol.

Medium strong carbonation and watery palate.

Flavor is medium sweet followed by pronounced bitterness. Aftertaste is medium bitter. Lingering. Despite being described on the label as "Gentle" it holds a nice moderate bitter punch. Quite fine.

From Boxbeers. In Teku glass. After dinner. A letdown improper of amager, seems one of those amateurish brews with cardboard/cooked veggies notes in taste and aroma. Bb Dec 2018.

Nice blonde ale with more malt character than one might typically expect from this style of beer (but that's up my alley). Light copper color with light carbonation (from 500ml bottle, drinking in Copenhagen; fresh). Moderate hop bitterness - somewhere down the middle for an ale.

500ml bottle. Pours cloudy gold with a billowing white head that's really substantial. Nice lacing. Interesting, almost overpowering aroma of tropical fruit like mango. Floral. This bottle smells slightly oxidized, unfortunately. Sweet, fruity taste with a lot of mineral character. Noticeable slight hop bitterness, but I imagine it's muted compared to what it would be when fresh. Slight cardboard. Dry finish. Light-medium body with high carbonation. Tried to ignore the age, but it would be nice to try a fresh bottle.
