The beer pours a very dark brown with a creamy brown head. The aroma is rye, cocoa, and licorice. The mouthfeel is creamy, fuill bodied, with average carbonation. The flavour is cocoa, rye, spices, and a hint of licorice.

Bottle: Poured a dark black color porter with a large light brown foamy head with good retention with some lacing. Aroma of rich black chocolate malt notes with light spicy notes. Taste is also dominated by rich chocolatey malt notes with light dry roasted malt notes and light peppery notes in the finish. Body is quite full with some creamy notes with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Light green hoppy notes are also detectable but very subtle. Enjoyable porter with nice level of drinkability but falling a bit short on the complexity side.
