Copenhagen 6/10 2020. 44 cl can from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. What looks like an satire stereotype from 1.001 nights with a giant saber, turban and a giant diamond on the can.
Pours unclear, dark ruby with a small yellow-ish head. Settles as patchy, thin, flimsy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a strong sweet - almost sugary - odor laced in alcohol. Dark fruits, sugar, caramel. Strong presence of sweet alcohol. Hints of tart sourness underneath.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, a bit viscous texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a very moderate sourness. Aftertaste is sweet with a light burnt, bitter undercurrent. Lingering. Finish is sweet but also a bit dry and boozy.
Potent, dark boozer. It does not try to hide the quite prominent ABV. But then again - that is part of the concept in this case.
