Copenhagen 22/4 2021. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Brewers Playground brand can-design with a young couple frolicking by the hop trellises on a swing with a deep blue background.
Pours opaque, hazy, milky golden yellow with a brownish tinge. Mid-sized white head. Fairly stable. Settles as thin, creamy layer of foam covering the surface of the beer and clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a fruity odor of tropical fruits mingling with acerbic citrus. Peach and mango. Strong mustard. Grapefruit and citrus.
Medium strong carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, smooth yet lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger, citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is citric and dry.
Quite bitter and dry for a NEIPA but I am certainly not complaining.
