Copenhagen 6/5 2024. 25 cl from tap at Taphouse, Lavendelstræde, Kbh. K.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small light beige head. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet odor of dark, roasted malts with an earthy touch. Toffee and brown sugar. Leather. Whiff of smoke and alcohol.
Light carbonation. Fairly thick, oily, soft, a bit viscous, yet lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish semi-dry and utterly pleasant.
Wholesome, pleasing, silken boozer.

Poured at fridge temp. Pours black with almost zero head. The nose is roasted malts, brown sugar, vanilla, and some dark fruit.
The taste is nice. Molasses, brown sugar, roasted malts, light coffee, vanilla, and light toffee. Very nice. Red grapes come through as it warms.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied. Aftertaste is roasted malts and brown sugar. The ABV is definitely not coming through on this one.

440 ml can, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 14.2%. Pitch black colour, moderate to small tan head. Aroma of roast malts and brown sugar, also notes of chocolate, hints of oak. Smooth and warming mouthfeel, but not as alcoholic as expected. Rich flavour, with the same elements as the aroma, moderate hops, very pleasant to drink.
