Pours black with little beige head.
Aroma has dried dark fruits, raisins, wet oak, bourbon, sherry.
Taste is pretty much identical to the aroma, little sweet, coffee has almost faded completely away.

Thanks to Papsø for this one. An imperial coffee stout aged in Stranahan barrels. Served in a Nolet's glass at the West Lakeview Amager tasting. Best before 2020, batch #146. Think this was bottled in April, so I'm glad I got to it before it expired.
A - A finger of pale mocha foam settles to a thin ring, leaving a few spots of lace and a thin collar. Body is an extremely dark brown that could be mistaken for black in low light.
S - Oak barrels, that distinctive Stranahan whiskey character, fairly light and somewhat fruity coffee flavor, with a roasty, dark chocolate stout base. As it warms there is increasing wood character and a touch of booze.
T - Taste is a blend of oak, smoke, roasted malts, dark chocolate, and some mild espresso and black licorice in the finish. There's a slightly fruity and sharp flavor that I occasionally get from other barrel-aged coffee beers - reminds me a touch of BA Everett from Hill Farmstead actually.
M - Smooth, medium-low carbonation, medium-full body that is perhaps a touch too thin. Alcohol is present but fairly mild.
D - Pretty solid barrel-aged coffee stout. Could use more coffee flavor - perhaps it was added to early? Alcohol seems lower than 12% which is a plus. I refilled my glass with this a few times over the evening, and it was certainly the best Amager beer I've had.

The beer is clouded, almost black, a small tan head, no lacing but heavy curtains.
The smell is coffee beans, smoke, Madeira, dried fruits and possibly some brandy.
The taste is sweet, dates, smoked sausage, some Madeira and glue.
Little carbonation, soft, somewhat flat a coarse finish.
This beer is probably not matured enough.
