Copenhagen 27/10 2024. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Crazy-looking, Santa withcrackling wizard fingers on the can.
Pours opaque dark brown with small beige head. A bit bubbly. Settles as a 0,1 cm thick layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is intense with an odor of sweet dark malts nicely wrapped in sweet Christmas spice. Dark malts and bread. Ginger, vanilla and cinnamon. Syrup and brown sugar.
Light carbonation. Thick, oily, viscous, soft yet lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a lighter but distinct bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a strong sweet undertone. Lingering. Finish is dark and sweet.
Overwhelmingly Christmas-like.

330 ml can, batch #3174, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 12%. Pitch black colour, large to moderate brown head. Strong sweetish aroma of overwhelming caramel, molasses, treacle, roasted malts, chocolate, cookies and various Christmas spices. The flavour is also sweet, but not as extremely sweet as the aroma made me fear. Otherwise the same elements, with fairly distinct Christmas spices. Warming mouthfeel.
