Copenhagen 15/7 2023. 75 cl waxed and capped bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Simon Daugaard rendering of lawman turned criminal Burt Alvord on the label.
Pours unclear amber with a small white head. Bubbly. Disappears completely after a few seconds. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sugary and malty sweet odor mingling with a bit of boozy barrel with a touch of whiskey. Alcohol saturated wood. Hard edge off alcohol. A bit of sugar.
Light carbonation.Medium thick, oily, soft, a bit greasy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intensewith a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with boozy, searing sting. Lingering. Finish is sweet alcohol and with a light burn.
More boozy barrel than Triple. But a nice barrel indeed.
