Copenhagen 19/8 2023. 75 cl waxed and capped bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Drawing of Matt Warner aka the Mormon kid looking darkly at me from the label.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small beige head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sweet, sugared odor of dark roasted malts mingling with potent dark alcohol. Toffee, caramel and brown sugar. Vanilla and raisins. Bourbon and wood.
Low carbonation. Medium thick, oily, slightly viscous, soft, flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and laced in boozy liquor. Lingering, Finish is sugary and boozy.
Another potent and boozy shot from the old west.
