750 ml waxed bottle, from Vinmonopolet Sandnes Kvadrat. ABV is 14.9%. Pitch black colour, small brown head. Boozy aroma of dark malts, rye whiskey, molasses, oak, chocolate and vanilla. Warming mouthfeel, as expected. Boozy and medium sweet flavour too, with the same elements as the aroma, also distinct bittering hops. Impressive beer, but hardly worth the high price.

Copenhagen 9/11 2024. 75 cl waxed bottle from Meny, Vermlandsgade, Kbh. S. The usual howling Wolf from the Black Mash series - this time in a orange and brown version.
Pours opaque dark brown with a big beige head. Stable. Settles as a thin unbroken layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sweet, malty and earthy scent mingling with dark alcohol. Toffee and caramel. A bit of brown sugar and chocolate. Rye bread, molasseses and dark fruit. Raisins and plums. Sharp whiskey.
Light carbonation. Thick, oily, viscous, a bit sticky, soft and creamy, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a strong boozy undertone. Lingering. Finish is potent alcohol with an earthy touch and a boozy burn.
Heavy as a really heavy thing.
