Løkken 2/7 2024. 75 cl waxed and capped bottle from Kvickly, Østergade, Middelfart. The usual Black Mash label design with the howling wolf in a white version.
Pours opaque dark brown with a lot of coconut debris whirling about and a small dirty beige head. Settles as a oily, snazzy, dirty fluid smearing the glass. No lacing but lots of oil. Not exactly pretty.
Aroma is intense with a strong sweet odor laden with alcohol mingling with an distinct scent of coconut. Dark roasted malts, toffee and brown sugar. Sweet bourbon. An abundance of coconut.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, a bit greasy, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingering. Finish is fruity coconut.
Damn ugly and a bit distracting with the oily lumps of coconut. But the coconut serves the black mash well.
