Copenhagen 24/1 2025. 75 cl waxed bottle from Meny, Vermlandsgade, Kbh. S. Purple version of Amager's Double Mash label design with the howling Wolf.
Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized beige head- A bit bubbly. Settles as a papering layer of foam clinging to the sides of the glass. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is intense with a sugary, malty odor laden with sweet alcohol with a tart, scent of unripe berries bleeding through. Toffee and brown sugar. Honey and alcohol. Tart currants.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, viscous, greasy, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong tart, sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is tart with a honey-lazed, boozy undertone. Lingering. Finish is quite dry,
Sweet yet tart dark Boozer.
