Copenhagen 18/8 2022. 33 cl bottle from Føtex, Frederikssundsvej , Husum. Drawing of a Monk-ish character in a orange garb on the label.
Pours unclear dark brown with a red hue and a mid-sized off-white head. Stable. Settles as thin layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a citric scent and spicy notes. Caramel and toffee. Toasted dark malts. Lemon and citrus. Cumin and black pepper.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a rather strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and citric. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Nice take on a Brown Ale even though I could not detect the Earl Grey Tea.
