Copenhagen 6/3 2022. 75 cl capped and waxed bottle from Meny, Borups Allé. Frb. F. Simon Daugaard drawing of a stern looking Belle Starr with a blue background.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a small, bubbly, beige head. Disappears after a few seconds leaving a thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a potent sweet, sugary odor mingling with dark alcohol and earthy notes. Caramel, toffee and brown sugar. Espresso coffee. Plums and raisins. Sweet bourbon.
Light carbonation. Thick, viscous, oily, fat, creamy, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sugary sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a boozy and earthy, coffee undertone. Lingering. Finish is a sweet.
Potent Imperial Stout with enough coffee bitterness to partly balance the sugary flavor.
