Copenhagen 26/2 2022. 75 cl waxed and capped bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Drawing of a solemn and serious looking lady on the label.
Pours opaque, dark brown with mid-sized white head. Settles as a thin, flimsy and patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense with a potent, sweet and boozy odor. Brow sugar, dark malts, leather. Dark fruits swollen with alcohol. Plums and raisins. Sweet dark alcohol.
Light carbonation.. Slightly thick, oily, soft and bit greasy and sticky texture. Almost flat.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is potent, sweet and boozy. Lingering. Finish is sweet alcohol.
A very sweet and potent Barley Wine.
