Copenhagen 9/5 2021. 44 cl can from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Simon Daugaard drawing on the can showing a monster with a red beard, bad teeth and an immensely amount of starry eyes.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a small light beige head. Settles as thin patch of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a dark, earthy odor mingling with a bit of sweetness and sharp alcohol. Brown sugar and dark roasted malts. Licorice. Wet soil and leather. Dark alcohol soaked wood peeking in.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, slightly viscous, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingering. Finish is rather dry.
Nice - not too sweet - Baltic Porter with a punch and a wooden undertone.
