On tap at the Maui Brewing Company Brewpub in Lahaina, HI.

Pours a clear yellow with a foamy off-white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. A foamy curtain of lace coats the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grain, grass, hay, floral, and spicy hop aromas. Taste is much the same with grass, hay, floral, and earth flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is tasty, but the smell is much better to me.

Poured a rich, deep golden body with a thick, foamy two finger white head that left abundant lacing. Overall impression of appearance is of a fantastic pilsner. Scents of citrusy hops giving way to moderate notes of floral jasmine-like hops and spicy hops with a light grainy Pilsner malt in the background. Overall impression of aroma is of a very hop forward German Pilsner, with the normal aromas present but at very high levels. Quite nice. Flavor begins with high hop character and bitterness giving floral hop notes mingling with spicy hop presence and light grainy malt in the background. Middle gains a bit in bitterness gaining hop character. Finish is dry with the same German hops character continuing and grainy malt underwriting it. Aftertaste is floral hops and grainy malt with light DMS. Overall impression of flavor is of a fantastic German Pils, very hoppy and well done. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth with moderate carbonation. Overall impression of mouthfeel is of a good German Pilsner. Overall this is a pretty good German Pilsner. Very hoppy, at the upper end of the style but still quite good. A very pleasing example of the Pilsner.
