With this robust Belgian Strong Dark Ale aged in Brandy and Bourbon barrels from Woodford Reserve, Double Oak, and Heaven Hill, we honor Saint Damien, the Belgium-born Priest canonized for his vocation on the island of Molokai. This divine beer is aromatic with rich malt sweetness and hints of dried cherry, fig, and maple syrup balanced among charred oak, offering a complex, smooth, and warming booziness.

Dark brown appearance with slight tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is a very pleasant malt with slight bourbon. Taste is also a slightly sweet malt. One of the better Maui brewing releases

This beer was 100% barrel. Base beer completely vanished. What would normally showcase notes of plum, burnt alcohol, and yeast phenol (which was vaguely detected), I tasted oak, liquor, and burnt alcohol. Was it tasty? Sure. But it was not beer. It was hard alcohol. I'm not gonna go and rate it a 1, because it's not terrible - but I felt like I needed a half a glass of base beer to go along with the oak juice I got here.

Had on tap served into a snifter.
Pours dark caramel color with no head or lacing.
Plum and apple on the nose.
Bourbon vanilla toffee, dark fruit, grape, plum, and almost a pumpkin spice to it.
Drinks thick and chewy and is a sipper.
Really well done beer here! Probably my favorite barrel aged beer from them.

Very unique beer. Has the aroma of a pinot noir. Its brewed and then aged in a pinot noir barrel for a year and a half. It's a must try, very strong at 11% but smooth like wine.
