Thanks Alex!
A beautiful amber colored beer. Crystal clarity with a smooth foamed khaki head that coats the glass.
Very pungent and classic aromas of grapefruit, citrus peels, pine and some of that Maui Wowie good stuff. A nice amount of caramel is drizzled in there for good measure.
Wow. Tons of caramel slathered over golden raisins. Orange zest and black licorice comes next before the sappy pine slowly creeps in and completely takes over. Very unique while staying within the style, and most importantly, it's delicious.
Syrupy and smooth with a sticky and sweet start before that bitter blast blows you away. Should be a sipper, but I'm thirsty.
I'm putting this in the TIPA category, and as such, it is one of the better ones I've had. It's sweet and boozy but wonderfully bitter and sappy and very interesting.
Cheers.

On tap at the Kihei brewery. Recommended by the quite knowledgeable beer tender in the tasting room after ordering a double overhead dipa. She told me it had just been tapped and I could get the dipa anytime. She was drawing up the chalk sign for it as we spoke. Great choice as I remember ,it was seriously hoppy with a bit of alcohol creep.Glad to have tried it as apparently it isn't available often. Didn't review it at the end of Aug. becuz I couldn't recall the name.Would definitely drink again if available. Not for amateurs.

From a crowler
Dark gold and very clear. Huge pillowy dirty white head with sticky lacing.
Smells like tropical fruits. Mango, papaya, pineapple... Wouldn’t need to see the high ABV on the can to know it’s strong. Big sweet malty bread aroma.
It is just bursting with flavor. Probably even better than it smells. Nice amount of semi dank bitterness chases everything.
Body is a solid medium, and you get a little bit of that slick oily feel, but not the syrupy kind typical for big beers. Insanely easy to drink. Dangerously so. Alcohol is nowhere to be found.
A great balance of fruit flavors and bitterness. If you want to throw around the Triple IPA name this is certainly one of the best ones I have had. I can’t think of any imperial near 11% that was better.
