Handsome appearance, typical for a porter. Light malty aroma, no coconut presence, which for me was a bonus. Mild taste, a bit bitter, but taste mellowed as it warmed. Dry, crisp finish. Not bad, would drink again.

Picked up a loose can at the Foodland in Pupukea, North Shore. Felt this would be a nice dessert after the poke bowl and shrimp I picked up at the prepared foods section. Can’t beat the prices. This was a bit pricey for a single 12oz can but it’s tasty stuff. Plenty of coconut flavor which I was worried about as I’m not into the big artificial coconut flavor. Has that creamy Porter body and chocolate malt flavor though so it’s a good balance. A very Hawaiian Porter, which must have been the intention.

Poured from a 12-oz can 6 1/2 months old, gifted to me by my son-in-law, into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint glass.
Look: Brown, with a huge tan head with fair retention that left a foam cap and some lacing.
Nose: Mostly dark roast, and a little chocolate and coffee. Not picking up much coconut.
Attack: Now I’m getting the coconut, on top of the mocha and dark roast. This is tasting quite good.
Finish: Some bitterness from the dark roast to balance.
Mouthfeel: Medium thick, smooth, some carbonation.
Overall: While the look and the nose were above average, the flavor is excellent. This is a very drinkable porter, and I’d look forward to enjoying it again by itself or pairing it with something like a good hamburger.

Amber highlights give way to a mostly opaque dark joining a creamy, fizzy beige bona fide head. Soft roasted nose, hanging lacework. A gentle mouthfeel, the flavor of cocoa + peanut mix. Absent a strong bitter this brew is tasty with decent warming from the 6% ABV. Semi dry finish. Good choice here.

I picked some of these up on my last BevMo raid, er, shopping trip. I like porters so I wanted to give them a try. They're OK. I like the nose fine but something about the finish doesn't sit right with me - like the aluminum aftertaste in a can of Yoohoo chocolate milk - but not nearly as bad. It has a slightly smoky finish - maybe it's the mocha notes, that just don't work for me. That explains the 2 on feel but I still think it's a decent porter overall.

Pours deep coffee dark chocolate with HUGE fluffy khaki foamy cap that quick Ly recedes and sticks to sides of tulip glass from fresh draught pour. Heavy bold coffee notes with coconut accent - a fine Porter at 6% ABV and 30 IBU.

Had this beer last night. Pours a dark brown in color with a decent tan head that dissipates quickly. The aroma is sweet chocolate, roasted malt and coconut. The taste is similar to aroma with a hint of coffee and a mild hop bitterness to the finish. Very good except the hint of coffee. BOD 4-5-2023

This brewer does know how to get good head retention. It's a dark pour, ruby tinted when held up to the light, with a solid and persistent off-white head. Aroma offers notes of chocolate and cocoa. I can't detect any coconut, though. In the taste: perhaps there's a little coconut, but if I had been presented a blind taste, I wouldn't notice at all. Cocoa flavor is still present, but less assertive than in the nose. Enough bitterness (no hop flavor, of course) is present to keep it from being sweet. Mouthfeel is soft and creamy. Decent enough porter, but kinda generic, and the coconut is mostly absent.

The look pours out dark with a reddish hue and a small foam head on top.
The smell has strong hints off espresso coffee with a caramel coating.
The taste is very sweet somehow I don’t taste the hints of coconut.
The feel is amazing very smooth and easy to drink.
Overall it is a must try beer!
