This one has a bite. Straight heat. Pretty one dimensional.

On tap at Maui Brewing Company in Lahaina, HI.
Billed as a blonde lager brewed with chipotle peppers. 5.1% ABV for this batch.
Pours a hazy yellow with a foamy bone head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. No lacing on the drink down. Smell is of malt, band-aids, and chipotle pepper aromas. Taste is much the same with smoke and chipotle flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of pepper heat in the back of the throat after each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a nice chipotle presence that is slightly better in the flavor.

Enjoyed on draft, winter 2010 at the brewery. Appearance is pretty much the same as the regular Blonde, which is rather good with the pale golden color and white head. Nose has the unmistakable chipotle with some light cereal grain. On the palate the chipotle is lighter than most chile beers, and the heat isn't as substantial as most either. This pairs well with their jalapeno cheese bread, and neither are extremely challenging if you're into spicy beverages and food.

Thin white head fades pretty quickly, golden color clear, wheat color.
Slightly sweet, capsaisin, hints of smoke
Starts cool and refreshing like a blonde lager, warms up with the heat of the chipotle peppers. Smokey flavor from the chiptoles is interesting in a beer this light. The brewer said that the peppers were added in the serving tank so it may pick up more heat with time.
Probably the best chile beer I have ever had. But that is not thi highest praise. The peppers linger but not as bad as some other chile beers I have tried.
I don't think I could have more than a pint of this beer.
Over all it was a pretty good beer, about as good as it gets for chile beers.
