On-tap at Stone
A: The pour is amber in color with no visible carbonation or head formation.
S: Sweet malts, brown sugar, toffee, and lots of alcohol to the nose. A bit of a dark fruitiness, and some hints of stale citrus hops.
T: Bready malts along with some toffee and molasses. A weird cough syrup type of cherry flavor, alcohol, and cardboard. Not a very appetizing combination.
M: The body is somewhat light for a barleywine with almost no carbonation.
D: Don't see what the appeal of this beer is. The more of these Maui beers I tried on draft, the more I'm beginning to think the canned ones are the best bet.
